# Forward Emails

Save content that arrives in your inbox by forwarding it to your personal Resona address. Perfect for newsletters, paywalled articles, and anything shared via email.

## Use Cases

## Saving Newsletters

There are two ways to get newsletters into Resona:

### Option 1: Subscribe directly with your Resona address

Use your save address when subscribing to a newsletter. New issues go straight to your library automatically.

1. Go to the newsletter's signup page
2. Enter your Resona save address as your email
3. Each issue arrives in your library automatically

### Option 2: Forward existing subscriptions

Already subscribed with your personal email? Forward newsletters to your save address:

1. Open the newsletter in your inbox
2. Forward it to your save address
3. The content appears in your library

Either way, the newsletter title becomes the article title, and the full content is preserved for search and AI chat.

## How It Works

When you forward an email to your save address (e.g., `save-xK7mP2nQ@useresona.com`), Resona will:

1. **Extract any links** — If the email contains a URL, Resona saves and processes that article
2. **Save the content directly** — If there's no URL, Resona saves the email body itself as an article

Your content ends up in your library, searchable and summarized like any other article.

## FAQ

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What's the difference between this and mobile sharing?">

  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I set up automatic forwarding?">
    Yes. Create an email filter/rule in your email client to auto-forward specific senders (like newsletters) to your save address.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if the email has both content and links?">
    Resona checks for URLs first. If it finds one, it saves the linked article. If not, it saves the email body directly.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is the formatting preserved?">
    Resona extracts the text content from emails. Complex formatting may be simplified, but the substance is always preserved.
